Elizabeth Catlett: The Future of Equality Exhibition
With the Miami-Dade Public Library System, the Arts and Letters Committee has collaborated to create an exhibit entitled, "Elizabeth Catlett: The Future of Equality". The exhibit primarily features the artwork of world renown sculpture and printmaker Elizabeth Catlett, who was born in 1915, initiated as a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. in 1933 and died in 2012 at the age of 96. The exhibit also includes works from Kabuya Pamela Bowens, Su-Li Hung, Faith Ringgold, Margaret Taylor-Burroughs and Aleta Bass.
